Well I finally got my butt to sit down and write! Gosh, it seems like I can grab the five minutes to read my friend’s entries, but when it comes time for me to write I can’t find the time. Well…. What has been going on in my life?! We have the fence almost up around the house and have 90% of the yard work we had decided to do this summer done. I picked up my wedding dress on Saturday and I will have my first fitting next Saturday. It’s hard to believe the wedding is only 7 weeks and four days away. Jas and I joke that we are looking forward more to the honeymoon the wedding. We are going on a four day cruise to Key West and Mexico. We picked out and bought our shore excursions. We are thrilled about the one in Mexico… we’re going on jeeps to a beach and cave. It’s going to be loads of fun. Today is Jason’s 27th birthday and we’re going out to eat with his parents so this week has been great!

Well finally it’s happened! Yes, I finally wrote in my LJ but besides that as of Monday, I started my new position here at the Center for Intensive Residential Treatment. It is a 180 degree change from my job at Intercept, I spend the majority of my day TRYING to find work to do. I enjoy it because it is so stress free (the only stress that could happen is from the phone and copier jams… whoppiedo), and my boss has approved me studying and taking classes for my Ed.S. This will be the perfect job when I began my master’s program. I have really enjoyed getting to know the staff and breath the air out side of the MST world (people here actually have clinical skills). I have considered once I get my master’s transferring for my year (plus clinical time) here. I wish I could work my time off doing this job, but oh well we can’t always have our cake and eat it too. OH MY LORD GUESS WHAT I GOT YESTERDAY?! I have found the wonders of eBay and I won the second season (still wrapped) of Buffy for guess how much… yes it was only 35 (plus handing and shipping only 999.99… j/k). I have been in heaven! Jas is making fun of me and my love of the Buffy :sigh: but he puts up with it and lets me get what I want. Yesterday I started back on my weight watchers (trying to get this stupid weight off the correct way not modeling way), I am slightly hungry but with my points used correctly I have been able to eat 3 meals and have one snack. Quite nice! Well I guess I better do some work around here…. I’m going to finally be able to have a life (and do the things I want such as play my violin AND write in my LJ!!!).

I want to know why on days I’m off my body still wakes me up at the butt crack of dawn… I know I slept a ton yesterday due to being sick but I wish I could sleep past 7:30a.m. I’ve got so much on my plate to do today, but it still is so nice to be home to do work.

See part of my list:
- Clean out and re-organize closets
- Clean out fridge
- Clean out microwave
- Clean house
- Complete paperwork

Isn’t it great when you learn about one of your favorite movies having a squeal?

|
|

Do you ever feel just like shit? It’s amazing how one person can say something to you and it just gets to you so hard that it would have been more pleasant to be hit by a falling piano. It’s those days that you want to crawl back in bed and just start the day over… so mantra for the day:

I’m a horrible person and I suck big time! Maybe tomorrow will be better?

Probably not!

|
|
ANY QUESTIONS?
Jas, our two friends, and I went and saw the ring tonight after a good night of good food and fun. For those who really read my stuff I won’t give away anything so it won’t be a spoiler. I was scared several times during the movie (which normally takes a lot) and was in love with the location (ate at restaurant that was shown in the movie, etc.). The sequel kept you going like the first… PLEASE TELL ME WHEN YOU SEE IT SO I CAN REALLY POST MY THOUGHTS!!!! Go see it… it’s worth the money (unless you have a guy yell out during the movie).

FREAKY SHIT!

5:21 pm - MY FAVORITE DAY!
|
|

GREEN BEER.... THE BEST DAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who Was St. Patrick? St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is one of Christianity's most widely known figures. But for all his celebrity, his life remains somewhat of a mystery. Many of the stories traditionally associated with St. Patrick, including the famous account of his banishing all the snakes from Ireland, are false, the products of hundreds of years of exaggerated storytelling.
Taken Prisoner By Irish Raiders It is known that St. Patrick was born in Britain to wealthy parents near the end of the fourth century. He is believed to have died on March 17, around 460 A.D. Although his father was a Christian deacon, it has been suggested that he probably took on the role because of tax incentives and there is no evidence that Patrick came from a particularly religious family. At the age of sixteen, Patrick was taken prisoner by a group of Irish raiders who were attacking his family's estate. They transported him to Ireland where he spent six years in captivity. (There is some dispute over where this captivity took place. Although many believe he was taken to live in Mount Slemish in County Antrim, it is more likely that he was held in County Mayo near Killala.) During this time, he worked as a shepherd, outdoors and away from people. Lonely and afraid, he turned to his religion for solace, becoming a devout Christian. (It is also believed that Patrick first began to dream of converting the Irish people to Christianity during his captivity.)
Guided By Visions After more than six years as a prisoner, Patrick escaped. According to his writing, a voice—which he believed to be God's—spoke to him in a dream, telling him it was time to leave Ireland. |
 |
 |
|
 |
|
To do so, Patrick walked nearly 200 miles from County Mayo, where it is believed he was held, to the Irish coast. After escaping to Britain, Patrick reported that he experienced a second revelation—an angel in a dream tells him to return to Ireland as a missionary. Soon after, Patrick began religious training, a course of study that lasted more than fifteen years. After his ordination as a priest, he was sent to Ireland with a dual mission—to minister to Christians already living in Ireland and to begin to convert the Irish. (Interestingly, this mission contradicts the widely held notion that Patrick introduced Christianity to Ireland.)
Bonfires and Crosses Familiar with the Irish language and culture, Patrick chose to incorporate traditional ritual into his lessons of Christianity instead of attempting to eradicate native Irish beliefs. For instance, he used bonfires to celebrate Easter since the Irish were used to honoring their gods with fire. He also superimposed a sun, a powerful Irish symbol, onto the Christian cross to create what is now called a Celtic cross, so that veneration of the symbol would seem more natural to the Irish. (Although there were a small number of Christians on the island when Patrick arrived, most Irish practiced a nature-based pagan religion. The Irish culture centered around a rich tradition of oral legend and myth. When this is considered, it is no surprise that the story of Patrick's life became exaggerated over the centuries—spinning exciting tales to remember history has always been a part of the Irish way of life. )

'Buffy' Creator Joss Whedon Lassoes 'Wonder Woman' Movie Whedon to write and direct big-screen look at 'first great female superhero.' "Wonder Woman" Teaser
Batman is about to get some on-screen competition. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon has agreed to write and direct a live-action "Wonder Woman" movie. No casting has been announced yet, but according to The Hollywood Reporter,
Whedon is expected to start on the superhero saga when he finishes postproduction for "Serenity," the big-screen adaptation of his short-lived TV drama "Firefly."
Whedon, who was also one of the writers on "Alien: Resurrection," told the Reporter that he's excited to tell the story behind the bulletproof bracelets and golden lasso of truth.
"Wonder Woman is the most iconic female heroine of our time, but in a way, no one has met her yet," Whedon said. "What I love most about icons is finding out what's behind them, exploring the price of their power. When [co-producer] Joel [Silver] and I began discussing the character, I realized there is a woman behind the legend who is very fascinating, very uncompromising and in her own way, almost vulnerable. She's someone who doesn't belong in this world, and since everyone I know feels that way about themselves, the character clicked for me."
Silver called Wonder Woman the "first great female superhero" to emerge from comic books. Unlike Batman and Superman, she has yet to be reinvented on the big screen. WW made her debut in comics in 1941 and was the subject of a TV series that ran from 1976-1979, starring Lynda Carter.
Wonder Woman, whose given name is Diana, was the ultimate fighting champion of her day, a fierce Amazonian warrior from the mythical Paradise Island. In addition to her super strength, speed and martial arts skill, she has a tiara that doubles as a boomerang-style weapon and a souped-up invisible plane.

9:51 pm - Got my lazy ass to write...
|
|

Zeniba- Once you meet someone, you never really forget them. It just takes a while for your memory to come back to you.
I feel so bad because I haven’t written in my LJ in so long! I have good news and bad news… First the GREAT news, I applied for office manager of our C.I.R.T. (Center for intensive residential treatment) and got it! It’s a 9-5 job (without clients… YEAHHHHHH) and I’m only taking two grand cut per year and still being able to have all my master classes paid for. I can’t wait to start it and be able to have a normal (pretty much stress free life) life without phone calls and set hours. Bad news is my best friend here is moving back to Florida because of the bull shit work has done towards her (we can get written up for being negative such as rolling our eyes, tone, etc.). It’s not like our fuckin’ jobs aren’t hard enough without being criticized at every end of the road. I went to Target this morning in between my sessions and tried to find the Spirited Away DVD. Couldn’t find it… isn’t that always the truth when you want something and have the money you can never find it until you don’t have the money, etc. We had our last pre-marriage counseling session tonight and finalized our wedding “script.” I kept joking with our youth pastor about drinking… but honestly with my up tight family and Jas’s loose family I am concerned that there will be drama (not baby mama drama, but really damn close). We have worked in an escape route since it’s just our family so in case things get nasty we can get out quick. It’s hard to believe I’m getting married, but some how it just feels right like coming home from driving in an ice storm… safe and warm (no scared feelings like it was with Jonathan). I hope to write more this weekend because I have to go to bed because got to get up early. Man… I am really craving to see Spirited Away!
Chihiro- How did you know my name was Chihiro? Haku- I have known you since you were very small.

11:10 pm - Wish I was SPIRITED AWAY!
|
Don’t you love movies that when you watch them you forget about all the worries you have? Like the movies you watched as a child… for some reason Spirited Away does that for me. I love this movie way too much (14 times now watching it and I don’t even own it! Stupid me!)

I have decided that I want to be transported to a world that doesn’t include two faced individuals. Yes, it might hurt more on a daily basis (being honestly told yes you are fat, or yes that does make your butt look bigger than the Rocky Mountains) but overall it would prevent the bad hurts like finding your best friend is no longer your friend, etc. Today I was seeing a trend in my life… had my childhood friends back stab me, my college “friends” ::cough sorority sisters cough::, and now I notice the trend even more in my work place. I thought at first it might have been a temporary lack of good judgment on my part, but now I am realizing that it is a sickness that is going around the world like a virus from 24! Maybe that is why people get married or have life partners? We finally find someone that can put up with our most horrible quirks, and yet don’t back stab us when they have really juicy information about us.

I am also wondering how time can fly so quickly when one is not having fun such as going to a job, etc. but goes so by in lighting speed when it is fun (maybe that’s because we don’t see those days as often so we attempt to have every minute linger?!). Maybe I am getting older and wiser, is it just I’m losing my “gray cells” and becoming more boring by the moment?!

As for today, it was not bad besides having all of my treatment plans criticized in consultation, being informed that I should have been more concrete in my crisis analysis at 1:45a.m. the morning, and told that yes even though you were counselor of the month last month this month you are really sucking! AHAHAHAH! I found out that if I make them think that I don’t care about my families, the more they like my treatment plans, etc. what an oxy moron (I thought we were there to care about our families? STUPID ME, it’s just really the money we’re interested in)!
Well, I guess I need to go to bed… 5:30a.m. really does come quickly. :laughs: Who am I fooling, I’m not going to get up at my target time it’s really going to be 6:45!
T.T.F.I.
P.S. I need to find a way to link this page to the other (two) people in my life so that I can have four (or less) people read my stupid ranting.

10:28 pm - I give up!
|
|

After attempting to get this icon in here for over 30 minutes… I am not computer inclined (making an icon still beyond my reach)! I was thinking over two things tonight… 1) How can I get more paperwork when I work on it almost every day for around 8 hours (!!!) and 2) How did I think my RHD job was stressful?!? I would kill for the old days of school (why didn’t I go on to get my masters)! What is the hitch is that once you’re out you get used to having money, so you can’t go back to the old days of the freedom that you had in college! I can’t write any more… got to get up way to early! But hey… why complain when you get paid good!??!
Another point to ponder… WHY DO I BITCH ALL THE TIME!?

It always amazes me how forgiving true friends can be even if you haven’t talked to them in almost a year. I was recently shown this link and I can’t miss the opportunity to express my feelings when I have to hear everyone else opinions all day long. I will have to start writing in here so that I can not have to hurt someone that I care or don’t care about . The main thought I have today is how thankful I am for two friends that I have had since 2001 that have been such a great part of my life and that I haven’t always been to (thank you for being so forgiveing)!
